Tell us what you seal, how you apply tape and how many cases you use a month. We will recommend the right adhesive and thickness, and can add the tape to the same quote as your labels and boxes.

Packing Tape & Carton Sealing: Buying Guide
Choosing Between Acrylic, Hot Melt and Natural Rubber Tape
Acrylic adhesive tape is the workhorse for most shippers. It handles heat and cold, resists yellowing and stays bonded in long storage. Hot melt adhesive offers high initial tack, so it grabs fast on recycled or dusty cartons, but it can degrade in cold or very hot conditions. Natural rubber is the most aggressive tack and is mostly used for specialty applications.
Cold storage and produce coolers deserve special attention. Condensation and low temperatures can defeat the wrong adhesive. Tell us where cartons live and we will recommend tape rated for it.
Tape Thickness, Width and Length
Standard carton sealing tape is 2 inches wide, with 3 inch rolls for heavier cartons and machine use. Length varies from about 55 to 110 yards or more per roll, and longer rolls mean fewer roll changes. Thickness is measured in mil, and heavier cartons and longer routes call for thicker film.
Use the H-seal method on heavy boxes by taping the center seam and both edges to keep flaps from lifting. Extra tape on a failing carton costs far less than a damaged shipment.
Printed Tape, Dispensers and Waste Control
Printed tape adds a security or branding layer and flags fragile or this-side-up handling. Good dispensers cut tape cleanly and reduce waste, which can lower your annual tape spend more than a small per-roll discount. Ask us about dispensers when you request your quote.
Packing Tape & Carton Sealing FAQ
Do you sell packing tape by the case?
Yes. Tape is typically sold in cases of 36 rolls and we can quote by the case or pallet. Send your size and monthly volume for pricing.
What is the difference between acrylic and hot melt tape?
Acrylic tape holds well across temperature changes, is quiet to unroll and lasts in storage. Hot melt grabs quickly and works well on recycled or dusty cartons but can yellow over time.
What thickness of tape do I need?
Light cartons often seal fine with 1.6 to 2 mil tape. Heavier boxes, and those that ship long distances, do better with 2.5 mil or more. Tell us the weight and we will suggest a thickness.
Can I get tape and labels on the same order?
Yes. We manufacture labels, so you can order tape, boxes, film and labels on one quote.
Ordering Labels Too?
